Duncan Keith Becomes The 16th Member of the Penticton Vees’ Ring of Honour

Duncan Keith and Al Formo became the 16th & 17th members of the Penticton Vees Ring of Honour. The two were inducted on Nov. 23, prior to the Vees’ game with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

Keith played for the Penticton Panthers from 1999 to 2001 before playing 17 years in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers. Al Formo, started play calling in 1967 and went on to call more than 2,500 games.

Keith averaged nearly a point per game with Penticton during his his BCHL career, as he compiled 118 points in 119 regular season games. During the 2000-2001 season, he was named the BCHL Interior Conference Best Defenceman and named to the BCHL Interior Conference First All-Star Team, after he posted 82 points in 60 games.

After Keith’s time in Penticton, he went on to play at Michigan State University, and in the WHL with the Kelowna Rockets before starting his professional career.

During his professional career, Keith won 3 Stanley Cups, 2 Norris Trophies, 1 Conn Smythe Trophy, and ranks 2nd in all time games played by a Chicago Blackhawk. Additionally, he won 2 Olympic Gold Medals with Team Canada.

All of Penticton is proud of Al’s longevity in the sport and Duncan’s storied professional career and now they will have their names displayed forever in the rafters of the SOEC.”

Duncan Keith X Kot Auto Group

Duncan and the Kot Auto Group have extended their partnership.
