Chicago Takes First Two Out West

The Chicago Blackhawks start the year off right by winning their second game out west. The Hawks outscored the Phoenix Coyotes 6-4. This was the first meeting of the year for Chicago and Phoenix after going head to head in the Western Conference Quarterfinals 7 months ago.

Chicago Blackhawks Schedule for 2013

The 2012 – 2013 NHL Season will consist of 48 games for each team over the course of 99 days. View the entire Chicago Blackhawks 2013 Schedule here.  The Blackhawks play their first home game of the season on Tuesday January, 22nd at the United Center.

Nationally, the Blackhawks will appear exclusively on NBC (including NBC and NBC Sports Network) a total of seven times, the maximum allowed per the league’s national television agreement.  The national television schedule can be viewed here.

Locally, 41 Blackhawks games will air on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and WGN-TV Channel 9, the organization’s official television partners. A complete regular-season television schedule can be found here.

Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook are certainly among the elite defensemen in the National Hockey League. They would be that even if they weren’t playing together, as they’ve proven on the occasions when they were split up. But the fact that they are almost always paired together is a tremendous situation for the Blackhawks and for the two of them. They’ve been together for a while, starting out as kids in the organization, and they could be together for another 10 years or so.
