Duncan Keith notched two assists in the final game of the Blackhawks 6 game west coast road trip vs. the Los Angeles Kings. Keith was also the first star of the game and led the Blackhawks in ice time at 25:23.
The Blackhawks finished 3-3-0 on their annual circus road trip. They will not play consecutive games on the road again until they go on a franchise record-tying nine-game trip that runs from January 31, 2012 through February 18, 2012. The only other nine-game trip in the franchise’s 85-year history was in 1955-56, when the NHL was comprised of just six teams.
